1.SPECIAL DUCTS OF SALIVARY GLANDS IN HUMAN:
*STENSON'S duct = Paratid gland
*WHARTON'S duct = Submaxillary gland (or) Submandibular gland
*BARTHOLIN'S duct (or) DUCT of RIVINIS = Sublingual gland
2.FUNCTIONS OF BRAIN LOBES:
*FRONTAL LOBE = Behaviour, Intelligence, Memory, Controls involuntary and voluntary movement of muscles and motor speech area.
*PARIETAL LOBE = Language, Reading, Sensation,Sense of taste
*TEMPORAL LOBE= Understanding speech,Hearing, Sense of smell
*OCCIPITAL LOBE = Visual perception.
3.THREE GROUPS OF NEURONS:
*MUTIPOLAR = It is with one axon with two or more dendrites ( found in Cerebral Cortex )
*BIPOLAR = It is neuron with one axon and one dendrite.(found in the retina of eye).
*UNIPOLAR= The cell body is with one axon only(found in the embryonic stage).
4.TYPES OF IMMUNOGLOBULINS (or ) ANTIBODIES AND FUNCTIONS:
*Ig G ( Gamma )=Passes placenta ,found in human blood serum and extra cellular fluid and protect the body from infections.
*Ig A (Alpha)= Found in mucous secretions like tears, saliva sweat and abundant in Colustrum (mother's milk )and provide Immunity to infants.Also confers protections from many enteric and respiratory infections.
*Ig M (Mu)=Present on B Cells and control of B Cell activation.
*Ig D (Delta)= Found on the surface of B Lymphocytes and involved in B Cell activation.
*Ig E (Epsilon)=Produced by immune system, manifestation of allergy including Asthma (First Symptom),Utricaria(Skin rash ) and Rhinitis( Stuffy nose).Also provide immunity to parasites such as Plasmodium falciparum and helminths like Schistosoma,Trichinella and Fasciola.
5.SPECIFIC ENZYMES ,CHEMICALS AND FUNCTIONS :
*CYCLOSPORIN A = Produced from the fungus Trichoderma polysporum and act as an immunosuppressant used in organ transplantation.
*STATINS= Produced by an Yeast Monascus purpureus and used to lower blood CHOLESTEROL levels.
*HUMAN INSULIN (HUMULIN) = E.coli bacterium and Saccharomyces cerevisiae(Yeast ) are articulated by genitic engineering (or) recominant DNA technology and used to treat diabetes mellitus.
*RENNET= used to separate milk into solid curds for CHEESE making.
*STREPTOKINASE= made from genetically engineered Streptococci and used as "CLOT BUSTERS" for removing blood clots in blood vessels which causes Myocardial infarction.
*LIPASES= used in detergents and remove oily stains from the laundry.
*PECTINASE,PROTEASE and CELLULASE=used in clarification of bottled juices.
6.SPECIAL LAYERED STRUCTURES FOUND IN VARIOUS ORGANS:
*LAYERS OF BLOOD VESSELS = Outer Tunica externa, middle Tunica media and inner Tunica intima.
*LAYERS OF UTERUS=
*LAYERS OF ALIMENTARY CANAL=Muscular externa (Outer first Serosa,Outer second Longitudinal muscle and Outer third Circular muscle), Middle submucosal layer and inner Mucosa.
*LAYERS OF EYE BALL= Outer fibrous SCLERA, Middle vascular CHOROID and Inner sensory RETINA.
*LAYERS OF ADRENAL CORTEX= Outer Zona glomerulosa, Middle Zona fasciculata and Inner Zona reticularis.
*LAYERS OF MENINGES IN BRAIN AND SPINAL CORD=Outer Thick Duramater, Middle Thin Arachnoid mater and Inner Piamater.
*LAYERS OF UTERUS=Outer Perimetrium, Middle Myometrium(Smooth muscles which exhibit strong contraction)and Inner Endometrium (Vascular and glandular mucous layer).
7.IMPORTANT FOSSILS:
*ICHTHYOSTEGA= Interconnecting link between fishes and amphibians.
*SEYMOURIA=Interconnecting link between Amphibians and Reptiles.
*ARCHAEOPTERYX=Ancestral form of birds having reptilian and avian characteristics.
*DINOSAURS= Extinct group of reptiles.
*HYRACOTHERIUM=Early ancestor of horses.

*MMR=Mumps,Measles(Rubeola) and Rubella(German measles)
*DT=Diphtheria and Tetanus (Dual antigen)
*TT=Tetanus Toxoid
*Hepatitis B vaccine (with purified HBVAg,an Australian antigen)=Hepatitis B.
